Review for 'Promises Hurt' by Elle Brooks

Wow... just... WOW!
I have to admit I sat for quite a while trying to figure out where to start this review as I was left totally speechless and wanted to do the story justice.

Elle Brooks is ONE. TO. WATCH!
Well done Elle, this is a remarkable debut novel that BLEW. ME. AWAY!

This story is heartfelt and portrayed beautifully.  I suggest you have the tissues ready, I don't think I have ever cried so early in a book.
I felt conflicted with fear of what was to come as it had such unexpected twist and turns yet I could not put it down, I was hooked from the start.
The main & secondary characters are all well written & interact brilliantly. I was laughing & crying at the same time in parts.
I am so happy this had dual POV, which I enjoy in books anyway, but in my opinion this story may have felt lacking with single POV.

We have Blair the down to earth geek with her quirky T-shirts.  Ethan the life and soul of the party jock, the typical cool kid teenage boy, but remember appearances can be deceptive.
I have a soft spot for Em (the best BFF ever) for personal reasons.  She is such a brave young lady, who we could all learn from.

I'll rap this up now to keep things spoiler free.

The ending is pure genius, leaving me wanting more.
I need book 2 NOW!!! (I may have been reduced to begging)

Review for 'Crashed' book 3 in the Driven series by K Bromberg

Wow this story is such a brilliant rollercoaster!

K Bromberg’s writing is amazing and paints such a picture .

I was HOOKED!  Right there with Rylee and Colton every step of the way.

The twists and turns their journey takes are heart breaking at times and at others piece the broken fragments back together.

There wasn’t the same love and hate for Colton as the previous two books.  I didn’t always like him, but as I understood him better I certainly didn’t hate him, god do I love him though.

I am totally amazed by Rylee’s resilience and persistence when so many would have given up, curled up in a ball and drowned in the darkness.

Haddie and Becks continue to be the best friends to Rylee and Colton, pushing  or pulling back where their friends need it.  Always knowing which approach was best.

The boys continue to steal my heart with their bravery and ability to rise above their circumstances.

I know I am in for one hulluva book hangover now and CAN NOT WAIT for Raced, coming soon.

This is a series I will read time and time again.

Review for 'Fueled' book 2 in the Driven series by K Bromberg

The writing of this story is PURE GENIUS!!!

Giving long awaited answers at JUST THE RIGHT TIME!

The placing of the Colton POV chapters are again PURE GENIUS!!!

Rylee is so remarkable & this is shown perfectly in Fueled! Her ability to see the best & overcome her past are beautiful.

You will love & hate Colton at the same time.

His cockiness is on top form in this second installment.

We get to see more of his vulnerable "not broken, just bent" side. Which is heartbreaking.

We get to see more of the fun loving BEST BFF EVER, Rylee's roommate Haddie in Fueled, she is so ballsy & I totally get why they get along so well/compliment each other!

We finally get more of Colton's 'wing man' Becks.

Their dynamic is much like Rylee & Haddie's.  They challenge & compliment each other as only guys can.  Becks knows when to push & when to give Colton time to figure stuff out for himself.

Rylee's boys from 'The House' πŸ’™

God i love those kids!

Broken by life & their terrible early years yet so full of life & love.

This installment had my brain in overdrive trying to get two steps ahead & prepare myself but let me just say...

I. FAILED. several times.

My advice- have Crashed ready & loaded to go straight on with their journey!

Review for 'Driven' by K Bromberg

The writing is beautiful, the story line steals your breath.

I particularly love the musical theme throughout.

This is so much more than your average troubled love story.

We have the beautiful Rylee who has her own "baggage" as she calls it yet is such a strong leading female in so many ways.

The sexy as hell Colton & his "747 of baggage". Who is so funny & cute, brooding & strong, untouchable yet somehow fragile.

The secondary characters are amazing too-
Haddie the fantastic room mate & best friend is so funny, every girl should have a Haddie in their life.

The House of boys Rylee works with are amazing, Zander & Aiden stole my heart, but the rest are not to be forgotten either.

Their journey is still so new, can they find a balance? Who knows, up next Fueled then Crashed to find out.

Review for 'Always Conall' by Sibylla Matilde

'Always Conall'
By Sibylla Matilde.

I was totally HOOKED from the start.

This storyline is fantastic and written beautifully.
You are given info at just the right time.
The twists and turns will have you guessing and trying to predict the outcome.  You may be wrong with them though ;-)

Sage has worked so hard to be independent & protect her heart over the years. Being the fierce protector her daughter deserves despite the turmoil of her family life and overcoming such tragic loss.

Conall has stayed away from his home town in order to chase away the ghosts of his past but a sense of obligation to a childhood friend has him finally returning.

One day a chance encounter sends them both into a tail spin!
My heart hurt for them and the curcumstances.

Mattie, I have to take a moment to say, I LOVE THAT KID!!!
She is such a fantastic character, so full of life.  Loving, trusting and accepting things as only a child can.

Gah. Keeping this spoiler free is HARD! "For realsies"
So just give it a try! You will not be disappointed.

Thank you Sib for another phenomenal read! πŸ’œ

Review for 'Because of Kian' by Sibylla Matilde

Kian has his own demons which he struggles with but is such a remarkable man.  Did I mention he is HOT? No, well he IS.

Brynn is one strong ass lady but yeah a "special kind of crazy" which only makes you love her more.  I didn’t always agree with her beliefs and methods but it is written in such a way that I did understand her struggle & loved Kian even more for pushing her beyond.

I loved the secondary characters and the bonds they all had.

This story covers some dark topics that may be difficult for some to read.  The writing is sympathetic and portrays the situations accurately.

I must warn you there is one helluva plot twist that I  DID. NOT. SEE. COMING.

Trying to keep this spoiler free is killing me so just give it a try ;-) you might just like it x
